- Great DVR, Great Features 1 people found this helpfulI needed a new DVR for our video system as our 7 year old DVR crumped out for good recently. I called Speco to get some advice given our needs and they suggested this model. The bottom line is I wanted 4 channel recording at 1080P resolution and this one fit the bill. What I didn’t appreciate till I started the setup process when installing the unit was how many features it has compared to my old DVR. Bottom line, it can do a lot more than just record pictures. My only gripe (small gripe) was that I had some problems with my router configuration and the error messages in the Speco setup routines were not very helpful or descriptive. I got through it OK and all is good now. The accompanying app for my Android phone is also great and easily allows me to monitor the cameras anytime from anywhere.
