Camden Door Controls CM-85BB-BLK 6" Aluminum Surface Box Sideload Retro Fit Kit, Black Finish

The Camden CM-85BB-BLK is the black-finish aluminum surface back box retrofit kit for Camden's CM-85 series 6"-wide Side Load Column push plate switches. The CM-85 is the wider counterpart to the CM-84 — at 6" wide versus 4.5" — providing a larger, more prominent activation surface that is easier to locate and activate in high-traffic areas or where users may have limited dexterity. The enclosed back box allows surface mounting without an in-wall electrical box.

• CM-85 Side Load Column switches are installed by mounting the activation plate directly onto the back switch assembly with six screws; designed for use when an obstruction above prevents use of a Top Load model; incorporates an enclosed back box; ideal when the back of the switch is visible, when selecting Kinetic wireless or DPDT switches, or when mounting on narrow curtain wall
• 6"-wide aluminum surface back box in black anodized finish: the wider 6" format (versus 4.5" CM-84) provides a larger activation plate that is easier to locate and activate, particularly in high-traffic public corridors, hospital hallways, and institutional facilities
• Black anodized finish: coordinates with black-finish door hardware, dark architectural metalwork, and modern commercial interior schemes; matches CM-85 series black finish column switches
• The CM-85 Series 6"-wide Column Switches are ADA, OBC, NBC, CSA, and CSBC compliant; available in clear aluminum, black, bronze, and blue architectural finishes
