DoorKing 1815-350 How It Works

The 1815-350 uses passive UHF RFID technology to identify authorized vehicles equipped with compatible tags. When a vehicle enters the reader’s adjustable 8 to 25-foot range, the reader emits an RF signal that powers up the tag, prompting it to transmit its unique 26-bit Wiegand code. This code is sent to a connected DoorKing access controller—such as the 1835, 1837, or 1838 systems - which verifies the tag’s authorization and triggers the gate to open automatically if approved. Tags and controllers are sold separately.
