In the case of a power outage, it can provide up to 2.8 minutes of runtime at max load and 10.9 minutes at half load. It also provides an output capacity of 1500 VA / 900W, ten total NEMA 5-15R outlets (five battery backup & surge and five surge-only), an input voltage of 120 VAC at 60 Hz ± 3 Hz using its 6' cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug, a surge energy rating of 789 joules, and 1Gb of data line protection. Its sealed, lead-acid battery is maintenance-free and can be replaced using an APCRBC124 replacement battery.
When compared to the previous generation of APC's Back-UPS systems, this model features a more compact design with a smaller footprint, surge protection improvements, and improved 1Gb data line protection. Also featured is a limited lifetime data-recovery warranty and a limited 3-year warranty for the APC unit.
For areas for inconsistent power grids, Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) helps provide stability against voltage fluctuations, overvoltage's, and brownouts. This UPS has an integrated LCD display that shows information on the utility and system status, and PowerChute Personal Edition software can help track power quality, configure alarms, and shutdown your computer during an outage.
