What is an LPR Camera?
License Plate Recognition (LPR) Cameras are specialized cameras that will allow you to capture a license plate.
The LPR, combined with the software, allows you to capture, search and save vehicle information. You can save license plates to the software and add categories. For example, if you wanted to keep track of all employee cars, you could add them to a group. If you have a recurring visitor to a company, you could add them to a group.
You can search for license plates by entering the complete number or even just a single letter or number. It will pull up all plates that match the criteria set! Additionally, when you pull the license plate you need, the software will show you the full clip of the vehicle leaving or entering for review.
Setting up the view of the LPR is crucial to accurately capture the plate. It is always a good idea to have additional cameras in the area to capture the entire scene and give you the complete picture.
