The VCU6 from Alpha is an amplifier/power supply used with the S.T.R.™ video-intercom systems, to provide intercom amplification, power to operate the electric door opener(s) etc., and power to operate the video monitor units. The VCU6 unit requires a 16VAC (40VA) and 12VAC (20VA) low-voltage Class II transformer for power. Use our model T1640 (16VAC) plug-in transformer and our model T1240 (12VAC) plug-in transformer for each VCU6. It is designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall by means of customer supplied screws or the convenient plastic 'Din Rail' bracket supplied with each power supply. Connections are positive screw terminal type. The VCU6 is used for each 30 (or less) video-intercom monitor/handset stations on a system.
