The ICRealtime S45-1700P is the ProSeries upgrade to the S45-1700, adding the patented Cap45 isolation cap technology — a hybrid connector providing the termination convenience of a pass-through plug with the electrical safety of a standard modular plug, recommended for Cat6 UTP and Cat6a UTP LAN cables where PoE or PoH may be used.

• ProSeries unshielded pass-through RJ45 (8P8C) modular plug; Hi/Lo staggered wire insertion; accommodates 23 AWG solid LAN cable wire conductors 1.05mm–1.2mm (0.041"–0.047"), larger than the standard S45-1700
• Cap45 isolation cap (Patent 10,811,831 B1): an isolation cap/bar that snaps onto the front of the plug after termination, covering exposed wire ends and completely eliminating electrical shorting risk in the RJ45 socket from improperly trimmed wires or non-fully-compliant device sockets
