- Was purchasing for a back up 0 people found this helpfulThought I was just purchasing for a back up, but when I plugged the limit switch in wrong I needed it right away. (Don't work with plastic items in 5 degree temperatures). I plugged my limit switch on my garage door opener in wrong and when I pressed the button the garage door did not stop. With it being 5 degrees out and the garage door not stopping the inner slide and the trolley were the weakest points and broke both plastic pieces. I was able to somewhat fix the trolley, but have to replace the inner slide. Thankfully I ordered the inner slide for a back up, because I needed it and it worked great. I wish the trolley was not discontinue, because I could have replaced it also and been done. I did get the trolley to do a temp. fix, but will surely need to order a new one.
Sometimes you get lucky. This was suppose to be a back up, but was put in play right away, because of my error.
Don't have a backup, but I thick I will be ok.
