The DM-RAID6-R24-48T from Dedicated Micros is an AoE RAID6 24 bay with 48TB. ATA over Ethernet (AoE) provides a highly-secure transfer of video files to a separate storage device for backup and long-term archiving. As the system is point-to-point, utilising MAC-MAC address ethernet connections, it is highly efficient, allowing data to be transferred at high speeds with minimal use of the systems processing power. The AoE RAID utilises 3.5" SATA disks. There are no constraints to how big an AoE storage network can be or how many Video Servers can be attached to the storage network. Each time a new RAID device is added to the storage network, more processing power is added and therefore aggregate throughput and performance of the storage system is increased, providing an unlimted storage solution.
