The MD8564-EHF3 is a 2-megapixel network camera geared toward transportation applications and focused on rolling stock deployments. Designed specifically for counting on a vehicle's exterior, the MD8564-EHF3 functions either as a side-view camera (also known as a back-mirror camera or DOO camera) or a pantograph monitoring camera if counted on the roof of the vehicle. In both options, the camera provides the driver with clear view of critical areas for incident monitoring and operational awareness. Armed with built-in IR illuminators, the MD8564-EHF3 is also able to provide superior image quality for up to 30 meters in total darkness.

Full EN50155 TX compliance the camera can withstand shock, vibrations, humidity, and electromagnetic interference, maintaining reliable video preview and recording during all kinds of vehicle movement. Furthermore, the rugged metal housing provides effective and robust protection from harsh outdoor conditions; IK10+ rating guarantees high resistance to mechanical impact and IP6K9K rating ensures the camera is completely weather-proof. The MD8564-EHF3 also features a wide operating temperature range -40°C ~ 70°C and a front glass heater for de-icing and de-frosting, making the camera suitable even for the harshest climates.
