The Q1614 Fixed Indoor Network IP Camera from Axis Communication is a feature-packed surveillance camera that can be used as a stand-alone unit, integrated into a NVR or NAS surveillance system, or an alarm panel. It uses a 1/3" RGB CMOS progressive-scan image sensor and a 2.8-8mm variable focus lens to capture images with resolutions of up to 1280 x 720 at 60 fps, or 1280 x 960 at 30fps. The body features a CS lens mount, and will accept any compatible lenses, including powered irises. The camera hardware and software supports Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions if it is mounted on a P/T platform with a zoom lens. Control the PTZ with an OSD virtual joystick or simply move the mouse over the live-view to have the camera follow the pointer. Program multiple preset positions and guard-tours to increase the level of security.
Most of the features and functions of the camera are completely configurable so you can tailor its performance to your needs. Multiple recording modes, media streams, motion-detection zones, privacy mask zones, exposure zones, and adjustable image settings let you adapt the camera image and recording to whatever location and conditions you put it in. Audio-in and out enable you to connect external microphone and speakers or wire it into a PA system for simplex, half-duplex, or full-duplex communication. Built-in shock and tamper sensors detect when the camera has been moved or blocked and sets off an alarm.
