GE Security DFR-R3-2 IFS R3 Adapter Plate, 2 Slot

The DFR-R3-2 from GE Security is an IFS R3 Adapter Plate, 2 Slot. The IFS -R3 Fiber Optic Card Adaptors provide a cost-effective, hybrid solution when migrating from an analog platform to a digital platform with IP integration. These adaptors can be used to install legacy IFS -R3 fiber optic cards into DFR Smart Rack card cages. Available in 1-slot, 2-slot, 3-slot and 4-slot versions, IFS -R3 adaptors provide complete integration of existing legacy IFS -R3 fiber optic cards into the IFS Digital Fiber Platform. This allows users to maintain their investment in legacy IFS fiber optic equipment as they transition to an IFS Digital Smart Rack platform for digital and IP transmission. While legacy IFS -R3 fiber optic cards cannot provide health and status monitoring or report module specific parameters, they are recognizable by the IFS IP Network Management Module firmware. This module will display the card’s integration into the Smart Rack through the browser-based GUI. Additionally, if an IFS-R3 card has been inserted or removed from a Smart Rack, the IP Network Management Module will report any event change through the alarm status log.
