The 500142 is an active VGA balun II from MuxLab w/ RX and no power that allows component video or VGA to be forwarded via copper unshielded twisted cable using a point-to-point arrangement. The 500142 active VGA bulan II comes with manual gain compression, a local monitor output, a remote power pass-thru to 150 feet, plus it is compliant with Plug-and-Play DDC1/DDC2, and can be used at up to 600 feet by way of a Cat5e/6 cable @ 1920 x 1440 pixels/1080 pixel resolution. I have not hooked it up yet as this is new construction and you cannot have electronics in a building before the drywall goes up, but it was easy to select and arrived on time and when we asked for help to see if we could use RG6, they were helpful. What is not to like about S-V.com :)
