The KTS-271 is a single channel active receiver that is part of GE Security's new, integrated CCTV UTP (unshielded twisted pair) system. Designed to expand the capabilities of the CyberDome® product line, this active transceiver is able to receive real time color or monochrome video up to 3,000 feet over standard UTP telephone wire. Receiving video over UTP wire, rather than over traditional video cable, provides a reliable, high quality, flexible and expandable system that uses less conduit space, and can be built into existing wiring topologies. This single input receiver was designed with unparalleled interference immunity, allowing video signals to coexist in the same wire bundle as telephone, datacom signals, and low voltage power circuits with no degradation in video quality. Video signals are sent without the need to digitize or compress, and without the signal degradation associated with these techniques.
