The IPS16-500G from Toshiba is a network video recorder. It is record up to 16 network-based cameras. The IPS16-500G is a robust network based video surveillance solution in a streamlined 3U chassis. It is capable of recording at mega pixel resolutions and up to 30 PPS per camera. The IPS16-500G is a recorder which designed to support both video encoders and network cameras. These cameras can be connected both locally and from remote locations over the Internet. The IPS16-500G is having feature that it automatic restart after power interruption or recording operation resume.

I can’t say enough good things about these guys! They respond quickly to questions and they back up their products. I have not hooked it up yet as this is new construction and you cannot have electronics in a building before the drywall goes up, but it was easy to select and arrived on time and when we asked for help to see if we could use RG6, they were helpful. What is not to like about S-V.com :)
