The viewing angle of a camera is determined by the lens size of the camera the smaller the lens size the larger the Viewing angle.

Requirements for wireless camera systems?
There are two parts to a wireless camera, a transmitter that is in the camera and a receiver which connects to the recorder both the receiver and transmitter need to be powered, in order to get good results all of the cameras and the receivers have to be direct line of sight you can not have any walls or anything else blocking them.

If you don’t have power where you want to place camera?
If you do not have power than your only solution would be to hard wire the camera, meaning run a cable from the house to the gate, where the camera will be mounted. This cable will bring power to the camera and send the video signal back to the house. Another option, if you have direct line of sight from the house to the gate, would be to place a camera with a powerful lens that will zoom into the gate. The last option is only possible if you have direct line of sight and the camera can be mounted outside the house.
Does wireless work as good as or better than cables?
No, a wireless system is never as reliable as a hardwired system. We recommend using wireless because. There are a number of benefits when you run cables. The system is more reliable, more secure since the signal can not be picked up by someone with a wireless receiver. The system price is much lower.
Does the DVR have any capabilities of off-loading the video/audio to another device, such as a VCR?
You can transfer video from the DVR to a memory stick. The DVR has a USB port. You can also upgrade to a DVR with a CD/RW Drive if you wanted to use a CD. Keep in mind this is only for transferring video clips not backing up the whole drive.

For how much days or hours does the DVR record the videos?
We have varieties of DVR’s such as 4, 8, 16, 24, 32 channels, they also have different hard disks, so it will totally depend on which DVR you go. For e.g.:4 channels DVR with 250GB hard disk will give you around 5 -7 days of recording based on the resolution you selected for the recording.
Will Resolution selected for recording affect the space on DVR?
Yes, it will because if the DVR is setup for motion activation, it will save your hard disk space and will give you more days of recording based on the motion activity.
