The DSR2004H80 from Sanyo is a 4 Channel Digital video Recorder with built in Multiplexer. It offers 4 channel audio recording. The DSR2004H80 comes complete with IR remote control unit and DVR utility software. It offers a hard disk drive capacity of 80GB.The DSR2004H80 enables you to take easy back-up of still images in JPEG format and video in AVI format through USB2.0 and supports the use of USB 2.0 Flash Drives. It offers a VGA video output. The DSR2004H80 enables remote surveillance and operation via network.


The DSR2004H80 comes with MPEG-4 is designed to handle reproduction of video with a wide dynamic range from video streaming on a slow communication line to that equivalent to HDTV quality. In MPEG-4, the picture is broken down into objects, such as the background, people, and buildings, and the changes in respective objects are recorded. It is similar to video recording in the M-JPEG format.The DSR2004H80 is capable of providing quality images at a low bit-rate. It is possible to record for considerably longer than systems using JPEG compression. The DSR2004H80 offers network connectivity with LAN and WAN. MPEG-4 is an international standard for highly efficient digital encoding (compression) of video and audio signals.
