The Videolarm CV280 80’ (24.38 m) Camera Lowering System has an integral encased motor, self-aligning docking feature, and integral power and video surge protection, allowing operators and maintenance personnel the ability to lower equipment to ground level for servicing.
The system has been designed to support and lower a standard closed-circuit television camera, lens, housing, PTZ mechanism, cabling, connectors, and other supporting field components without damage or causing degradation of camera operations. The camera’s payload interface is equipped with a provision for welded in place Stainless Steel 1.5” NPT Male nipple to accept industry standard dome housings and is capable of modification to accept a variety of other camera mounts.
The camera lowering system is equipped with an adapter for attachment to a wall, pole, or pole top tenon. The lowering arm and mount components are designed to self-align to wall or surface mount, tenon top, or with strapped mount to pole to ensure unit will not twist under high winds.
CV280 has a 2-way motor that provides electric-actuated lowering and raising operations and is operated on the ground through the use of an operator interface key-actuated box. Moreover, it employs a 2-cable lift system to allow the entire lifting weight to be equalized and shared by each lifting cable.
